Ökumeni council

called ökumenische councils in the Christianity sieve general councils of the entire church, which took place from 325 to 787. The theories of these councils are recognized by the orthodox , catholic and many Protestant churches.

In the Roman-catholic church become also later councils, which concerned the entire Roman-catholic church, when “designates ökumenische councils”. These are not recognized by other Christian churches usually.

Biblical model for the ökumenischen councils is the Apostelkonzil, which took place in the year 49 or 50 in Jerusalem.
