Żórawina
Żórawina (German Rothsürben) is a place with 1.900 inhabitants in the Woiwodschaft Niederschlesien in Poland. The place is seat of a municipality, in which 8,020 humans live. Żórawina is appropriate for 14.5 km south of the Breslauer city centre and belongs to the Powiat Wrocławski . By Żórawina the railroad line of Breslau leads the Polish motorway A4 after Strzelin, runs a kilometer northeast the place.

history

transmitting plant
Rothsürben became 1932 location of the realm transmitter Breslau with a transmitting power of 60 KW (later 100 KW) in the medium-wave band. When antenna tower became, as at that time with most German transmission places, a free standing wood tower uses, in which the antenna wire was hung up. With the transmitter Rothsürben was 140 meters high the tower. It carried an octagonal bronze ring with 10.6 meters of diameters on its point for electrical extension. 1940 were established a second transmitting antenna in form of a triangle plane aerial, which to three 49.9 meters was highly Stahlrohrmasten hung up. Both the wood tower and the triangle plane aerial became up to the suspension of service because of the advancing Soviet troops to 7. February 1945 uses. After 1945 on the area, which length and 50°59' northern latitude eastern with 17°01' lie, again a transmitting plant was established, however in form removed 140 meters high transmitting poles for medium wave.
