Department of (biology)

the department of, technical term: Divisio, is a hierarchical stage of biological systematics of the Botanik, Mykologie and microbiology. It further divided in subsections. Both plants and mushrooms are arranged into departments.

The department standsas Taxon between realm and class.

In the Zoologie is called the appropriate Taxon trunk or Phylum. In some few zoo-logical systematics the expression becomes department also as Taxon between realm (Regnum) and trunk (Phylum) uses, for example for the demarcationthe Bilateria within the Vielzeller (Metazoa).
