Aefligen is a municipality in the office district castle village of the canton Berne in Switzerland.

geography
Aefligen lies in the lower Emmental, in the northwest Zipfel of the office castle village. The village is appropriate directly to the Emme and the line castle village - for Solothurn. Aefligen borders on the municipalities Rüdtligen Alchenflüh, woman wells, Schalunen, Bätterkinden, Utzenstorf and Kirchberg.

on the year 1261 dates the first mention of Aefligen in the arable of the counts von Kyburg. 1429 ignored the administrative laws of the yard Kirchberg (today Kirchgemeinde Kirchberg) to the city Berne, which took over the area 1481 completely.
