the area of the municipality maple valley, which originated in to 1972 in the course of the regional reorganization from the former municipalities Adlitz, free maple, Kirchahorn, Körzendorf, Poppendorf, attraction village, Christanz, Oberailsfeld and volume brook, belonged different realm knights (Kirchahorn: Count von Schönborn, Oberailsfeld: Barons von Rabenstein). With the Rhine federation document the area came 1806 to Bavaria.
