Aldrans is a municipality in the district Innsbruck country of the Land of the Federal Republic Tirol (Austria).

m Aldrans on a central mountain terrace southeast adjacent on Innsbruck. The name comes from the old “Allrainer Veld”, which was mentioned 1312 as “Alrains” in a document.

The heap village spreads on a terrace landscape. A village fire in the year 1893 destroyed almost completely all built volumes. At the local edge of Aldrans 1927 a medium-wave transmitter for broadcast transmissions were established. This plant was converted later into a short wave transmitter and dismantled 1984.

To Aldrans still the Weiler (local parts) belong to Rans, Prockenhöfe, meadow yards and heart lake at the lake of the same name.

Aldrans has the function of a Wohngemeinde by the proximity to Innsbruck mainly.

The local edge the central mountain course with a stop leads past, more importantly for the public traffic development is however regional penalty of the low mountain range.
