Alexei Kondratjewitsch Sawrassow
Alexei Kondratjewitsch Sawrassow (Russian АлексейКондратьевичСаврасов; * 12. May/ 24. May 1830 in Moscow; † 26. September/ 8. October 1897 ebd.) was a Russian landscape painter.
began to draw and paint Sawrassow born as a son of a buyer promptly. 1844 it was already accepted sculpture and architecture , which it left 1850 as a graduate as a pupil of professor Rabus at the Muscovites university for painting. Thereupon it, its special interest, the landscape painting began, to follow.
1852 it traveled to the Ukraine. Two years later it went on invitation of the large princess Maria Nikolajewna, the president of the Russian academy of arts, after sank itself Petersburg. In the year 1857 Sawrassow transferred the post of a teacher at the Muscovites school for painting, Bildhauerein and architecture. Its most well-known pupil was Isaak Lewitan as well as Konstantin Alexejewitsch Korowin there.
After its marriage with Sophia Carlovna Hertz, the sister of the art historian K. Hertz, operated many artists and collecting tanks in its house, under it Pawel Michailowitsch Tretjakow. A particularly close friendship connected it in this time with Wassili Grigorjewitsch Perow. To the 1860er years traveled it to England, in order to visit the world exhibition; afterwards it traveled to Switzerland.
1870 it became member of the movement of the Peredwischniki and broke thereby with training methodology supported by the government. Besides its works on world exhibitions to see - in Vienna 1873 , Paris 1878 as well as on the allRussian exhibition were 1882 in Moscow.
In the future it had to suffer personal and vocational setbacks, so that it became the alcoholic. All auxiliary attempts on the part of related and friends were in vain. He spent the last years of its life in poverty and as a homeless person. He deceased 1897 in Moscow.
