Director of work

the director of work is the member of the executive committee in equal numbers contributed of an enterprise entrusted with the personal and social affairs (§ 33 law of codetermination, § 13 Montanmitbestimmungsgesetz). In the mining industry the director of work cannot be ordered against the voices of the majority of the selected supervisory board members. In practice outside of the mining industry often is the constellation, after which the personnel chief of the enterprise is a director of work at the same time. There the director of work is ordered as a equal member into the executive committee. It has to make like all remaining members of the executive committee its decisions in close coordination with the committee. The further details of co-operation are usually regulated in the agenda.
