calls workhorse workhorse in the actual sense of horses, which are used for performing of work.
Examples are cold blood horses, those as course animals in the agriculture to be used or also pit horses, which were used in the mining industry to the transport from ore and overburden. An example of a work riding horse is also today still the horse of the Rinderhirten, like it in Argentina, unites ranges of Spain, France, Italy and the USA is used.
The term workhorse is used today in the transferred sense also for simple, durable machines and devices without redundant luxury.
