Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle (* 22. May 1859 in Edinburgh; † 7. July 1930 in Crowborough, Sussex) was a British physician and writer and published the adventures shearing LOCK of the cross-beam and its friend Dr. Watson. Starting from 1880 Doyle undertook some journeys as a ship's doctor to the Antarctic and to Africa.
