After conquest of the Dobrudscha of Byzanz it created 679 the first Bulgarian realm, a slawobulgarisches realm with a small Oberschicht of Bulgarian conquerers over one slawisch - rural population; Capital was Pliska. After futile subjecting attempts this realm became 681 of emperor Konstantin IV. Pogonatos recognition. Probably the process of the Slawisierung of the nomadischen Oberschicht already began under Asparuch. The simultaneous weakness Byzanz' and the Awaren might have affected stabilizing Asparuchs realm.
