Atomei
the research reactor Munich (FRM) in Garching with Munich, because of its form also as Atomei designation, became to 31. October 1957 as the first research reactor taken in Germany in enterprise. It belongs to the technical University of Munich (TUM).
Atomei (FRM I) and FRM IIin the background
the Atomei became to 28. July 2000 around 10:30 clock switched off. The egg-shaped dome, the component of the Stadtwappens of Garching is, stands under monument protection and is after a development of the reactor as extension surface for the successor FRM-II to be used.
