AUDI S4

the S4 is the sport version of the AUDI A4. A still sportier variant represents the RS4 .

Also the sport version of the AUDI 100 C4 carried the name S4.

S4 C4 (1992-1994)

the sport version of the AUDI 100 C4 carried the name S4 until 1994, when the AUDI 100 was modified and in A6 was renamed. From the S4 then the S6 became. The car was offered both and sedan and and to Avant. There were the following two engine variants:

• 2,2l 20V five-cylinder turbo engine with 169 KW (230 HP), 0-100 km/h in under 7 s
• 4,2l 32V eight-cylinder with 206 KW (280 HP), 0-100 km/h in 6,2 s

S4 B5 (1997-2002)

of the S4 of the B5-Plattform possesses a 2,7l-V6-Biturbomotor of 195 KW (265 HP) developed. From 0-100 km/h it needs 5.6 seconds. The propulsion ends with electronically abgeregelten 250 km/h. Kraft by Audis all-wheel drive (quattro) will transfer to the road. With a 6-Gang Handschaltung is switched. The S4 B5 was available as sedan or combination (Avant).

S4 B6 (2003-2005)

the S4 (B7) was introduced to at the end of of 2005 to the Facelift of the AUDI A4 as sedan and Avant. At the beginning of of 2006 appeared the Cabriolet.

In the comparison to the B6 above all the Design was changed as well as revised chassis components. The engine carries as in the predecessor 253 KW out (344 HP).
