Bernt Jansen

Bernt Jansen (* 27. July 1949 in Meppen) is a well-known German table tennis player.

Between 1967 and 1976 Jansen denied 38 international matches. Its he celebrated largest successes in the 60's. However it stood at that time in the shade of Eberhard Schöler. 1968 it already became with the German championship “only” second behind Schöler. Unforgotten however 1969 are in Hagen the final game. Before 2.400 spectators Jansen led in crucial 5. Sentence against Eberhard Schöler already 20:15. But Jansen assigned all 5 match balls and lost in the extension with 24:22. Only in the double he became three times German master - 1968 + 1969 with his Osnabrücker association comrade Hans me express off, 1977 with Wilfried Lieck.

A few months later Jansen with the German national team reached the final game, which was lost however against Japan with the world championship in Munich. For this success the players received the silver laurel leaf.
