Berta Lask

Berta Lask (alias “Gerhard how/as country”) (* 17. November 1878 Wadowice, habsburgisches Galizien; † 28. March 1967 in Berlin, Germany) was a Dichterin, lady journalist and Aktivistin standing politically left/liberally.

Berta Lask became as the third of fourChildren of a Jewish paper manufacturer and a teacher in the galizischen Wadowice born, which until 1918 to the duchy Zator of the Kingdom of Galizien and Lodomerien standing under having citizen rule belonged. 1885 drew the family Lask to Brandenburg, where Berta civil-human training among other things at the High School in Bath free forest received. At the beginning of of 1936 followed it at the time already the 73-jährige married man into the Soviet Union, together went it to Sewastopol, where it had received an employment as a physician. 1938 was expatriated the Lasks by the German authorities. 1940 deceased to Louis Jacobsohn on that Krim.

On summer 1941 to autumn 1944 it lived with its son Hermann in Archangelsk, from 1944 to 1953 again in Moscow.
