Betonnung is the marking of a driving water or a danger place of the navigation with navigation marks.

One differentiates between cardinals and lateral indications. With cardinals indication is represented the layer a danger place with different tons in compass direction. Lateral indications indicate the center, to starboard - or to port side of a driving water .
