Blood
That Blood (lat. sanguis) is a liquid Organ, that with support of the Cardiovascular system the functionality of the remaining body fabrics over various transportation and linkage functions ensures. Blood is pumped primarily by mechanical activity of the heart muscle in a circulation system by the blood vessels of the body. The container system of the human body contains approx.. 5 - 6 litres blood.
It consists that of special cells Erythrozyten (red blood cells), Leukocytes (white blood cells), Thrombozyten (blood panel) as well as the blood plasma, in which the cells swim. With the blood the cellular elements become (Erythrozyten, Leukocytes and Thrombozyten) of Blood plasma and its components differentiated. Erythrozyten contain Hemoglobin. This Protein is for those Oxygen connection and transport in the blood responsible. It consists of the actual protein Globin and that HaemGroup, also one Complex forms. This iron lends to the blood of Mammals its red color (see also: Blood coloring material) with other animals (Spiders, Oktopus) one fulfills this function. There with that Gliederfuessern and Worms Blood and Lymphsystem , becomes a liquid with similar functions is not from each other separated there as Haemolymph designated.

Function
The blood with its individual components fulfills many substantial tasks, in order to keep the life procedures upright:
- Transport (Oxygen, Edukte and products of the Metabolism, Hormones and other Agentien)
- Regularization (water regime, electrolyte household, thermal regularization, pH value)
- Protection (defense function through Phagozyten and Anti-body, Blood clotting and Fibrinolyse)
- Supporting effect (liquid pressure)
Characteristics
- Those Temperature 37 amounts to °C (with humans)
- That pH value 7.4 is and becomes by that Blood buffer constantly held
- Blood is one Suspension
Many leave themselves from certain changes of the blood components in Blood picture recognize and in their severity level arrange, why the blood the most frequently examined body fluid in that Laboratory medicine is.
With large blutverlusten, different diseases like that myelodysplastischen syndrome and as unwanted result with all become usually accomplished, in order to fill up the blood volume or certain blood components to supplement at which a lack is present, purposefully. Here it is to be noted that the blood of donor and receiver regarding that Groups of bloods and of the Rhesusfaktors to agree must, since it can come otherwise to heavy Transfusionszwischenfaellen. In order to make possible Transfusionen, are however Donations of blood necessarily.
