Bobby Knight
Robert Montgomery Knight (* 25. October 1940 in Massillon, Ohio) is an US-American basketball coach. The Knight well-known as Choleriker ranks among the most successful coaches of NCAA history. 1984 he trained the US basketball olympia selection with the plays in Los Angeles.
After an inconspicuous Highschool - career got Knight 1958 a scholarship Ohio State University. it , even if only as a bank player, won 1960 at the side of John Havlicek and the exception player Jerry Lucas the NCAA championship. Until 1962 one played two further marks in the final. Knight knew that its talent would not be enough for the NBA, and planned therefore a career as a coach. At this time he learned many refinement of the basketball play of coach legend Fred Taylor.
1965 it began its coach career with the USMA in west POINT. Its team extremely successfully played, and so the large college programs became on it attentively. One its player was Mike Krzyzewski, which should likewise become later a successful coach. to 1971 he got the coach post of the Indiana University offered and assumed.
