Boris Hagelin

Boris Caesar William Hagelin (* 2. July 1892; † 7. September 1983) was a Swedish entrepreneur and Kryptografieexperte.

Hagelin terminated its study in Stockholm in the year 1914 and worked thereafter in Sweden and in the USA.

Its father was joint owner of the company STARTING FROM Cryptograph, which built rotor cipher machines after the patent of Arvid Gerhard dam. In the year 1927 Hagelin transferred the company, reorganized it and ändete the names in STARTING FROM Cryptoteknik. Its coding machines were comparable with the Enigma of Arthur Scherbius. Its most successful coding machine was the M-209.

At the beginning of the Second World War it fled from Sweden into Switzerland, where it developed its company under the name Crypto AG in course again.
