the Calancatal (Italian Val Calanca) is belonged a side valley of the Misox and to the canton grey federations. Between Grono and Roveredo the Calancatal begins and pulls parallel to the Misox approx. 20 km northward. The climate in the lower part is rather mildly very alpine with Kastanienbäumen, further above becomes it. The Calancatal is a unique, still very unaffected landscape. For mountain lover an experience.
