Carl Feer duke
Carl Feer duke (* 23. October 1820 in Rixheim (Elsass), † 14. January 1880 in Aarau) was a Swiss politician, entrepreneur and a railway pioneer. It is considered as one of the most important restaurant promoters of Switzerland 19. Century.
It completed a technical-scientific study, first at the University of Geneva, then to the Ecole Centrale kinds et Manufactures in Paris. 1841 it occurred the silk ribbon factory of its father Aarau and became 1845 partners and commercial director. Carl Feer duke was a promoter of the banking and the building of railways. 1854 he was joint founder of the halfnational „Aargaui bank “, which was converted 1913 into the Aargaui cantonal bank, and was to 1880 their president.
