Carl Heinrich August von Lindenau
Carl Heinrich August count von Lindenau (* 21. February 1755 in Machern; † 11. August 1842 in Bahrensdorf) was Prussian lieutenant general and travel all master of the king Friedrich William II. of Prussia.
Its father was God dear to Heinrich count von Lindenau (1723-1789), who possessed the manors Machern , Zeititz , Gotha and Kossen. The nut/mother was Charlotte Augusts geb. of Seydewitz verw. of coolness wine (1729-1764). To 2. He married February 1780 in Anna castle Christiane Henriette of Arnim A. D. H. Gröba (1762-1833). From this marriage no children followed.
Count Carl von Lindenau had as royal-Prussian Colonel all masters the supervision and responsibility over all royal studs. In its time also several new studs were established. One of these new studs was the Friedrich William stud (today main and land stud new city (Dosse)). Furthermore Lindenau is considered as the creators the landscape garden Machern. He was, against the resistance of its father, a friend of Goethe.
