Carl Orff

Carl Orff (* 10. July 1895 in Munich; † 29. March 1982 in Munich) was a German composer and music paedagogue.

It received piano - , cello - and organ instruction starting from 1900. In this year also its first composition appeared. CarlOrff studied from 1913 to 1914 at the academy for clay/tone art in Munich and worked as a composer of songs for singing and piano. Thus 1911 songs developed to texts of the romantic German poets Hölderlin and Heine and. A. Apart from its compositions he dedicateditself the Musikpädagogik. After short war service (1914) it was to 1919 Kapellmeister in Munich, Mannheim and Darmstadt. Carl Orff studied 1921 and 1922 in Munich with Heinrich fire-place ski. it created 1924 with Dorothee Günther the Güntherschule for gymnastic, Rhythmik andartistic dance.
