Caspar Neher
Caspar Neher (* 11. April 1897 in Augsburg; † 30. June 1962 in Vienna) was a GermanAustrian stage designer. It is among other things because of its lifelong co-operation with Bert break importantly.

Caspar Neher grows up in Augsburg as a son of a teacher and sits starting from 1911 in the same grade as Bertolt breaks. it goes to 1914 on the art school to Munich. Starting from June 1915 it participates as a Freiwilliger in the First World War (starting from 1918 as an officer), meanwhile exchanges of letters with breaks.
1919 (it was the time of the Bavarian soviet republic) it becomes certified at the residents of Munich academy of the forming arts the study. Brechts Baal with designs of Neher appears in the citizen of Berlin mash air on publishing house.
it sketches the stage organization for Brechts drums to 1921 at the night (however by the resident of Munich chamber plays one rejects), 1923 for Kleists the Käthchen of Heilbronn. It gives its attempts up as a film script author and concentrates on the Szenographie.
1923 he marries Erika Tomquist.
it drives Weill briefly to 1933 to Paris, continues to work during the Nazi period in Germany. Starting from 1946 again contact with break.
1948 Austrian citizen, works among other things for the salt citizens of festivals, besides in Zurich, Munich and Berlin. 1954 he becomes a technical director with the resident of Munich chamber plays. From 1958 he is up to its death a professor for scenery at the academy of the forming arts Vienna.
