Charles Coburn
Charles Coburn (* 17. June 1877 in Savannah, Georgia; † 30. August 1961 in New York town center) was an US-American actor.
Coburn married 1906 the actress Ivah Willis. They worked both as theatre actors and producers. 1910/1911 he managte the US tour of the dancer Isadora Duncan. 1918 created it the theatre production company The Coburn Players and celebrated numerous successes at Broadway. Only as its wife 1937 , accepted he died the offers from Hollywood and turned in the age of 60 years its first films and left the Theaterbühne. 1942 he was nominated for the first time for a OSCAR and received him then 1944 for The More the Merrier. A further mark he was nominated 1947.
