Cohabitation
with Cohabitation is described in a semi präsidentiellen system of government (as of France) a situation, with the president and prime minister different parties to belong. It occurs, if the president in the parliament does not have a majority willing to cooperate with it.
With this co-operation it actsactually around a forced co-operation, for historical reasons for it however the obvious term Collaboration (Kollaboration) does not use.
In France for example it took place under François Mitterrand from 1986 - 1988 and 1993 - 1995 as well as under Jacques Chirac from 1997 -2002. By the Verkürzung of the mandate of the president on five years the French presidency and parliamentary elections fall in the future on the same year, which will possibly prevent the situation of the Cohabitation.
