DIN standards are recommendations and not from itself obligatorily. Few standards were made build-up-obviously obligatory by Lands of the Federal Republic. Legally binding are the DIN standards also, if in one Contract or Law thus one determines. However is to be considered, that also otherwise those recognized rules of the technology obligating to use are. These are not identical to the DIN standards. Rather they go over the general technical regulations, to which also the DIN standards belong, outside. For valid DIN standards only the assumption exists, that they the generally recognized rules of the technology correspond. This is however refutable, because in the standardization committees also interests will represent. In addition standards do not correspond always to the current technical level of knowledge.
