Decimal place

Under that Decimal places a number understands one the right-of-comma positions of one Decimal number.

With the number of 223.5678 thus the decimal places are the four numbers 5678. An integral decimal number does not have decimal places.

That Break <math> \frac{1}{3}</math> has infinitely many decimal places, since its decimal notation never breaks off. It is broken off after finally many places, it has accordingly many decimal places.
