geographical situation

Dillstädt is because of the Hasel in the southern Thüringer forest at the highway between Suhl and Meiningen. Southwest the place is the 503 meters high Hölschberg.

history

1206 was mentioned for the first time documentary the place, the Wüstungen Germelshausen and they wood even already in older documents of 800-845. The place belonged to the county hen mountain and lay until 1815 in the Saxonian office bold village. From 1816 to 1944 Dillstädt belonged to the governmental district Erfurt of the Prussian province Saxonia.
