the place Dobit is a slawische local establishment, the name decreases/goes back on the sorbische word dobry (well). In older documents the place name is similarly shown still with Dober , Dobrezhen and, only starting from the end 14. Century is omitted the r . The manor is for the first time 1204 demonstrably, when Heinrich of Dobit in the place let a church establish. Hans's von Dobczehn is 1390 mayors von Altenburg. 1696 was eingepfarrt Meucha, Nasselwitz (today a Wüstung between Meucha and Dobit), Pontewitz and Prehna after Dobit.
