Donald George Bragg (* 15. May 1935 in Penns Grove, new jersey, the USA) is a former US-American Stabhochspringer, who was successful in the second half of the 1950er years. Bragg entered as last world record Springer with a metal bar history of the Leichtathletik.
Bragg came as the third of eight brothers and sisters to 15. May 1935 in the town Penns Grove in the US Federal State new jersey to the world. Its parents were the zirkusartisten of kind ofcircus William Hazard Bragg and Nellie Kalor.
Braggs problem was that the metal bars under its weight of nearly 100 kg, unusually high for a Springer, broke regularly. Except by its mass (1.90 m largely) it was noticeable also by its being correct force: As passionate Tarzan - it had made itself for Verehrer it the habit to copy in the match its salient cries.
Already at the age of 19 years it jumped 4.60 M. In the olympic plays in Melbourne it could not participate however injury. Its success year should become the year 1960: It became triumphed with the olympic plays in Rome with a height of 4,70 m, after it one month before, to 2. July 1960 in the California Palo Alto, with 4,80 m a new world record had set up. This was however already improved in May 1961 by George Davies on 4,83 m - with the fiber glass rod violently rejected by Bragg.

Donald Bragg, which had locked 1957 a study at the university in mansion new facts, worked after completion of its career as a director of sport on the stick clay/tone State college in new jersey. Later it made itself than operators of a holidays Camps independent.
It wrote a book with the title: A chance ton of Dare: The Don Bragg story.
