EURODOC
EURODOC is the European combination for doctorate candidates and new generation researchers. At present Eurodoc consists of 26 national federations.
Eurodoc brings the voice of the new generation researchers into that European discussion process to topics such as Bologna process, 7.Rahmenprogramm, European Research Council, European Charter for researcher, etc.
Eurodoc was created in the year 2002. Annually a EURODOC conference takes place. In preparation of this conference based on the answer of a questionnaire of the member organizations a comparison of the different systems is provided in Europe. Around the situation of the new generation researchers in Europe still better to judge to be able at present European-wide inquiry on individual basis among doctorate candidates is in planning.
Everyone can participate in the discussions in the Workgroups from EURODOC to topics such as Mobility, supervision and training, Professional future, Gender equality, labour conditions; positions become and Recommendations prepared, which flow then into the European research policy.
goals
the goals of EURODOC in accordance with statutes are:
- Agency of the doctorate candidates and new generation researchers on European level in the topic areas education, research and career perspectives.
- Promotion of the quality of the doctorate training and the standards of the research activity in Europe.
- Expansion of the information passing on to topics, which concern new generation researchers; Organization of meetings, co-operation at debates and support of the advancement in the politics policies education and research in Europe.
- Mechanism and support of co-operation between national organizations, which represent doctorate candidates and young researchers.
