Eastern (from English. East : The east) is a film category of the commercial maintenance cinema, which concerns itself with asiatic combat art and pertinent philosophy. Eastern gives it since the beginning already to film history. The first Eastern originates from Asia. For the 80's there are however also many American Eastern.

Eastern can be divided again into several Sub category:
