Geografie
the Gemeindegebiet is appropriate for about 8 km on a Grundmoräne east the Urstromtales of the Datze south the city Friedland and 18 km east of new Brandenburg. Calibration refuge is surrounded by three small lakes - toward the south the number of the lakes takes gradually too (Feldberger and Uckermärki sea-area). history
1298 was mentioned for the first time documentary the place put on as meadow village as Eykchorst. The name is probably to be due to the then large oak forests between the Datzetal and the Brohmer mountains.
In the dreissigjährigen war also calibration refuge was completely destroyed.
The today's form of the Eichhorster field stone church developed after change work in the year 1837. The property house developed on the basis of older buildings of predecessors 1821 in klassizistischem style. Up to the Entrignung 1945 the landowners changed several times, from 1964 to 1990 the property house partly than school were used. The strongly renovation-needy building found since then still no new owner.

from the former LPG developed after the reunification an agrarian cooperative. Also some farmers (resetters) manage the fields of the environment.

in the neighbour municipality Glienke exists connection to the supraregional freeway net (federal highway 197 and federal motorway 20). The next station lies in approx. 10 km removed Sponholzer local part Warlin (distance new Brandenburg - Pasewalk - Stettin).
