The ore diocese Madras Mylapore or ore diocese Chennai Meliapor (lat. Archidioecesis Madraspolitanus et Meliaporensis) is a Roman-catholic Erzdiözese in the Indian Federal State Tamil Nadu with the bishop seat Chennai (in former times WAD-race).
The Erzdiözese originated in to 13. November 1952 by combination of the ore diocese WAD-race (establishes at the 1. September 1886) with the Diözese São Tomé of Meliapore (establishes to 9. Jänner 1606). To 19. July 2002 parts of the Diözesangebietes were transferred to the again created diocese Chinglepet. The Suffraganbistümer Chinglepet, Coimbatore , Ootacamund and Vellore is subordinate to the ore diocese.
