Essertines sur role is a political municipality in the district role of the canton Waadt in Switzerland.

geography
Essertines sur role is on 726 m and. M., 14 km northnortheast the city Nyon (air line). The farmer village extends on easily eastward the sloping slope of the plateau above the Waadtländer Côte, at the law south foot, within the range of the village brook Ruisseau of the Chaux.
The surface 6,9 km ² of the large Gemeindegebiets covers a section of the law foot plateau and the Waadtländer Côte. The upper municipality part covers the high plateau bent eastward, which is drained by the brooks Ruisseau of the Chaux and Ruisseau of the Rottières (the north border partly forms) to the Aubonne. After the west the area extends into the forest Le Saugey, in with 896 the m and. M. the highest point is reached by Essertines sur role. The southern municipality border runs usually on the edge above the steep waste of the Côte (Les Bioles, 811 m and. M.). After the population had decreased until 1980 on 296 inhabitants, a rapid increase in population with nearly a duplication of the number of inhabitants began within 20 years.
