the flag of Cyprus is white with an image of the island. The color of the island illustration refers that to copper, already 3000 v. Chr. on Cyprus one discovered. Under the island are two Olivenbaum - branches. The branches stand for hope for peace between the Greek and the Turkish part of Cyprus.
This flag is led in fact only in the Greek south part of the island Cyprus.
The internationally not recognized Turkish Republic of north Cyprus leads its own flag.
