Air traffic controller

Air traffic controllers are in each case for a certain range(Sector) responsibly. Airplanes, which are in this sector, stand under supervision of the responsible person pilot. The delivery from sector to sector is called hand off or delivery. An airplane is so always passed on from pilot to pilot and steered and supervised continuous within the controlled air spaces.
In Germany the training during the German air traffic control ( DFS) takes about 2-3 years. Air traffic controllers work in the “center” or in the control tower: Center pilots supervise the entire controlled air space, Tower or tower pilots the starting and runways as well as close range (control zone) around the airport. The Tower pilot gives startingand landing permission (takeoffs and/or. Landing Clearances). Germany is divided into 5 center ranges: Munich radar, being enough radar, Bremen radar, Berlin radar and Rhine radar (Karlsruhe). Starting from spring 2006 the centers reduce up: Bremen, Frankfurt, Munich and Karlsruhe.
The apron pilot (Apron CONTROLLER) is not an air traffic controller inactual sense. The monitoring of on the apron the rolling flight and other vehicles is however often taken over by air traffic controllers with.
