Forschungsinstitut Senckenberg
Forschungsinstitut Senckenberg forms a unit with the nature museum Senckenberg. The scientists of the research institute care for the scientific collections of the museum as curators and evaluate these in the context of their research projects. On research and collection journeys these collections are extended by the scientists of the research institute.
The research projects go the often far over tasks of core research museum, like Senckenberg as total mechanism, understand themselves outside. Nevertheless the scientists are directly involved also in the organization and production of the exhibitions and the looking collection. On the concept to let the exhibitions of searching scientists conceive and these then in consultation with museum paedagogue, Präparoteren, to construct commercial artists and marketers the Senckenberg is particularly proud. Thereby the looking collections are always near durchdacht at the scientific conditions and nevertheless responding and educationally.
