Francis Atterbury
Francis Atterbury (* 6. March 1663 in Milton Keynes † 3. March 1732 in Paris) was English bishop von Rochester.
Born in the county Buckingham it visited the school in Westminster and afterwards Christian the Church college in Oxford. 1691 he became a Prediger pc. Bride in London and royal Kaplan. It belonged to the high-church direction and fought the liberals of bishops and the Whigpartei. Therefore it was appointed after the fall of the Whigs 1712 the Dekan by Christian Church and the bishop von Rochester. In the year 1720 it donated a jakobitische conspiracy on, which was discovered 1722. Atterbury was set off and banished, stood until 1728 in the services of the Prätendenten James Francis Edward Stuart (the son from king Jakob II.) died and 3. March 1732 in Paris.
Its biography wrote Williams (London 1869, 2 volumes).
