Francisco Mancebo
Francisco Mancebo (* 9. March 1976 in Madrid) is a Spanish wheel sportsman. He is since 1998 wheel professional and drives at present for the French team Ag2r Prévoyance.
Its strengths lie clearly in the mountains. Its style of driving resembles from January the Ullrich, it likes it, if the speed is evenly high. Short, fast Antritte is not like also the time driving its speciality, even if he could improve in the time driving in the course of the years.
Thus Mancebo conquered the white leotard of the best young professional in the year 2000 as the totalninth with the route de France. 2005 it reached 4 with that. Place in the total valuation its best result during the France round travel. In the same year it landed still another stage-win with the Vuelta A Espana and occupied also there the 4. Total place. The Titelverteidiung of its Spanish master leotard, which he conquered 2004, did not only succeed to it in this year. It became 2. behind Juan Manuel Garate.
Special characteristic of the calm Madrilenen is its inclined head attitude on the wheel, if it undertakes large efforts, e.g. when heavy mountain groping.
