Friedrich Gulda
Friedrich Gulda (* 16. May 1930 in Vienna; † 27. January 2000 in Steinbach at the Attersee) was a Austrian pianist and composer.

Gulda began at the age of seven years with the piano play. 1942 it began its music study at the Viennese music academy, the today's university for music and explaining art Vienna. Already at the age of 16 years Gulda won with the international one Geneva music competition and arrived rapidly at world fame. Its interpretations apply for extremely accurate Mozart - and Beethoven -, endeavored around special working regret, until today as milestones in music history.
Its Œuvre covers works of J. S. Brook, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Debussy and Ravel, whereby above all excited its interpretation of Beethovens Klaviersonaten as well as the piano well-being-kept at a moderate temperature of brook attention. In its concerts it played works of brook frequently original-faithfully on a Clavichord. Among other things it wrote also a concert for Violoncello and blowing orchestra with the sentences: Ouverture, idyl, Cadenza, Menuett, final alla marcia.
Already in recent years discovered Gulda in addition, a love for the jazz, which it regarded as the most relevant direction of modern music development. Starting from center of the 1950er years gained he a call as jazz - interpreter and - composer. In its concerts he strove ever more around abolition of the separation between E-music and U-music. It composed pieces of jazz piano and combined in its concerts classical music and jazz.
Its unorthodox, pretty often provokantes occurrence on the stage made it one enfant terrible among the pianists. In some concerts it played for example different pieces than announced. Also its Paradise Night in the Viennese concert hall became famous with which it by dancers, who Paradise Girls, and DJs were supported.
Fredrich Gulda was married from 1956 to 1966 with Paola Loew, from that the marriage comes out the sons David Wolfgang and Paul. he married 1967 on its Japan tour Yuko Wakiyama, from the marriage comes out son Rico; the marriage goes 1973 apart. Since 1974 and co-operated he lived with the musician Ursula differently. Its sons Paul and Rico Gulda became pianists in each case.
