Gägelow is a municipality in the district Nordwestmecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). The municipality becomes since that 1. April 2005 of the office Grevesmühlen country with seat in the district town Grevesmühlen, which forms a central administrative body with the office, administers. (to 31. December 2004 was Gägelow seat of the office Gägelow dissolved in the meantime).
To Gägelow the local parts Gressow, Jamel, again width village, Proseken, star jug, Stofferstorf, Vosskuhl, width village and Wolde belong.
The municipality Gägelow is in easily hilly, to the Wismarer bay sloping area directly because of the western city boundary of the Hanseatic city Wismar. The distance to the bath beaches of the Eggers Wiek amounts to only few kilometers.
The settlement of very many companies is remarkable in the trade areas of the municipality. The basis for it lies not least in the outstanding infrastructure Gägelows before the gates pointing Mars: the situation at the federal highways B 105 and B 106 as well as at the connecting road of Wismar into the town Klütz. South of Gägelow the federal motorway 20 runs. The next station lies in Wismar.
