yellow sand is a municipality in the district bath Doberan in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). The municipality is seat of the office rust ocher heath, to which further four municipalities belong.
Those about 8 km broad rust ochers heath separates yellow sand from the Baltic Sea coast. The municipality is to Stralsund at the line Rostock - and because of the federal highway 105 (likewise from Rostock to Stralsund).
