George Hardwick

George Hardwick (* 2. February 1920; † 19. April 2004) was an English football player and coach.

At its active time as soccer players it played as a link defender for the fiber plastic Middlesbrough. Hardwick denied altogether 12 international matches for England and was a first captain of the English national team after the Second World War. Due to a knee injury it had to terminate its international match career after 12 international matches.

After its career as players Hardwick cared for the crews of Oldham Athletic , the PSV Eindhoven and 1957 the Netherlands national team as a coach. Later he trained still the Sunderland A.F.C. in the roofridge division.
