Gerhard Piekarski
Gerhard Otto Felix Piekarski (* 5. October 1910 in Berlin; † 9. October 1992) was a German physician and Parasitologe.
life
Piekarski studied Berlin starting from 1930 at the university and attained a doctorate there 1935. It remained subsequently, there as scientific coworkers. Starting from 1942 Piekarski was government advice of realm public health authorities in Berlin Dahlem, since 1943 lecturer.
After the war Piekarski became 1949 professor for medicine Parasitologie and microbiology at the University of Bonn, one year later became it there a department manager at Hygieneinstitut.
achievements
Piekarski researched in the areas of the Parasitologe and micro biologist. it published 1954 „text book of the Parasitologie with special consideration of the parasites of humans “. He is further co-editor of the magazine for parasite customer in archives for microbiology.
The German society for Parasitologie assigns the Gerhard Piekarski price for a special doctor work in the area of the Parasitologie. The price decreases/goes back to a donation created by Piekarski.
