Girondins Bordeaux

the football club of the Girondins de Bordeaux is a French soccer association from the southwestFrench city Bordeaux, which is because of the Gironde muzzle funnel specified of the river Garonne - therefore the association has its name. It was created around the turn of the year 1881 /82, its football department durably however only 1919; the name changed due to fusions and because of a bankruptcy (1991) several times, whereby however always the name component remained “Girondins”.
