Giselher sticks
Giselher sticks (* 28. June 1925 in Mannheim) is a German composer.
Stick receives already early from his nut/mother, the violinist Gertrud stick, musical instruction. it moves to 1932 to Munich, where it visits first the preparatory school of the Schönherrl Privatschule,starting from 1935 the human Gymnasialzweig of the same institute. The Violinunterricht begun in Mannheim already experiences, now by the sister of its nut/mother, Melanie Michaelis, its continuation.
A further occupational local change of its father leads it 1936 after Rostock; after the separation of his parents takes place in the same yearthe removal with nut/mother and sister to Berlin. In the course of the yearly 1938 the scarcely thirteen-year old begins with outlining first composition drafts; 1940 it begins from the city a Berlin promoted of music study in the subjects violin, Viola and composition.
After doing itsWork service obligation stick 1943 drawn in to the military service as radio operators in an observation department. After the surrender it comes into Russian war shank, from which it will dismiss already briefly after end of war due to its state of health.
1950 take stick after longer convalescence its composition study, firstat international Musikinstitut in Berlin with Josef Rufer, later in the master class Boris Blachers; besides the composer receives an employment as volume examiner and a Programmgestalter in the department of “serious music “to citizen of Berlin at that time of the broadcast.
To 10. September 1946 marries sticks those Violinist truck Schiller; their marriage come of the two daughters Sonja Katharina and Annette Marianne.
After solution of his contract with the citizen of Berlin broadcast (at the end of of 1948) works stick as a free lance composer in Berlin. In the year 1957 it decides again to the assumption of a firm employment:As a successor Wolfgang Fortners it exercises now the activity of a lecturer in the fan composition and music theory at the northwestGerman music academy Detmold ; in the year 1962 the appointment Klebes as the professor takes place, from whose master class a number of outstanding composers came out. Its complete work coversto today more than 140 compositions, under it 13 operas, 7 Symphonien, 15 solo concerts, chamber music works of most diverse occupation, piano works and religious of works.
it received the Westfäli music price to 1965.
After its retirement 1990 sticks Detmold remained for the college of music further closely connected. It lives today in Detmold. Since2002 are stick honour citizens of the city Detmold.
