Granne

a Granne (also Arista) (of ahd. grana, whiskers) are bristle or threadlike, usually somewhat rigid extension at the end or on the back of an organ, often curved and GEC rivet, never however climb-like wound, are for example at the Spelzen of many grasses ( the spikelets), at the Antheren of the Ericaceen or at the fruits of the Geraniaceen.
