Grzegorz Pojmański

Grzegorz Pojmański (* 16. April 1959 in Warsaw) is a Polish astronomer.

He works on the astronomical observatory of the University of Warsaw. it developed 1997 together with professor Bohdan Paczyński the project universe Sky Automated Survey (ASAS).

With this tracking system he could discover already two comets, i.e. C2004 R2 (ASAS) and C/2006 A1 (Pojmański). The latter had to be seen at the beginning of March 2006 also in Northern Europe with binoculars. The automatic telescope ASAS is in read Campanas observatory in Chile.
